NGC 5139, Omega Centauri. This huge globular cluster (the apparent size of the full moon!) is usually seen only from the southern hemisphere. I was lucky enough to catch a single 30 second
exposure with a 6.3 focal reducer as it peeked above the southern horizon on March 30, 2001 at Anza, CA with the 10" f/10 scope and Pictor 1616XTE.
