I enjoy wide-field imaging with my CCD camera and Nikon lenses, but wanted to be able to use it with a color filter wheel and control it all from a computer. There is no room to put a
lens bayonet behind the cover of the filter wheel, where it needs to go to focus a lens. What I was able to do, though, was to perminently attach a 2x tele-extender to a replacement filter wheel cover so that I
could easily attach different lenses to the rig, and ended up with the advantage of doubling the power, too! So my usual 80mm to 200mm lens is now a 160mm to 400mm f/5.6 lens, which is just about perfect for
most of my imaging. I also have a 17mm to 35mm lens for it, also.
